Do we take payment from you on our portal without your knowledge?
No! After the invoice is sent you have to make the payment yourself in the portal. We do not have access to your credit card.
Are half days allowed Monday through Saturday?
We offer ½ days on Saturdays and Mondays only. Our half day service is up to 5 hours maximum with latest drop off being 10am.
Can you book in your own grooming as the drop down menu lists?
Unfortunately this prompt cannot be removed from the list in the drop down menu. Please call 613 592 6264 to schedule your appointment with one of our staff members or email us at our various emails preferably at groomer@dogdayz.ca
Is it okay if I bring my dog to daycare if he/she is feeling unwell?
No, please refrain from bringing your dog to the daycare if they are feeling unwell, experiencing diarrhea or overall lethargy. Our entire team appreciates it! If they are booked in, please delete your day in the portal.
How can we inform the staff of any information pertaining to my dog?
You can utilize the “note” section when booking your dog in for their scheduled day! Please ensure you utilize your personal portal by informing us of anything we need to know about your dog. Don’t forget to update your personal information if you move, change phone numbers, vets or emergency contacts.
Can we take a tour of your facility?
Due to being an open concept space, we cannot allow walk throughs of our space. However, we are very transparent and you will be invited in to the daycare’s lobby for a sit down touch- base after your dogs evaluation is completed. This is where you’ll be able to view our little dogs in action.
Do you post any pictures or videos of our dogs playing?
Yes! We post daily to our Facebook page. We use Instagram and TikTok social media as well to keep our clients informed and engaged. Can you share the pictures from our page? YES!!
If I'm late picking up my dog, what happens?
You will be charged $10 for every 15 minutes you are late. Please try not to be late as if does impede our staffs time.
Can you administer medications?
Yes. Most staff are first Aid certified and can do so.
What's the latest we can drop off our dog?
10am is our latest time regardless of day.
Do you accept females in heat?
No. You will need to wait at least three weeks after bleeding stops before you can bring her back.
How old does my dog need to be to come to dog dayz?
8 weeks with first shots.
Do you have a drop off service?
No we do not have a drop off service at this time.
Do you provide a boarding service?
We do, only for clients that come to our facility and we need to know the dog for at least 6 months. Learn more about our Boarding serivces here.
Do you walk the dogs?
No. Due to our 1:10 ratio with the dogs and our locations (busy area) we do not. We have ample space for our dogs to run and play all day and a fenced in turf yard big enough for our events and outdoor activities!
Can I change my pickup time in portal?
No, as you’ll have to delete and re add your day. To not lose your spot, just let us know at the door of your new pick up time.
Will I be charged if I do not show up for my reservation?
Yes, we are usually at capacity and no shows mean another dog wasn’t able to join us for the day. If you have a package, a day will be taken from it. If you pay by the day, you will be charged as usual.
Does my dog need the Bordetella vaccine (commonly known as kennel cough)?
No as it is not all that effective against the many strains however should you wish to do the annual vaccination for your peace of mind, please do not book your dog in to daycare for a period of one week after vaccination. Please update your vaccination by emailing us a copy or uploading a copy to the files section through your portal.
Does my dog need an evaluation before attending daycare?
Yes as we want to know they are a proper fit for the daycare (the exception is for puppies under 6 months however the evaluation form still needs to be filled out so we can contact you.
Do you take visiting dogs from out of town?
No we don’t. We require attendance of at least once a month.
Does a package need to be used on consecutive days?
No, you have a year to use your package.
Can my dog nap while at daycare?
Yes, absolutely. Once they get comfortable in our care, they will often put themselves down for a nap or you can request naps. All puppies are made to nap while in our care as we know how important to their wellbeing it is.
Do I have to reserve in advance or can I just drop in?
Reservations are necessary, we don’t take drop ins.
